Former First Lady Margaret Kenyatta has lauded the young generation for their quest against injustice and their drive to challenge the status quo to make the world a better place.

Speaking during Brookhouse Schools’ 17th graduation ceremony at the Karen Campus on Friday, June 13, 2025, the former First Lady equally congratulated the class of 2025 for their achievements, including the over 40 per cent of graduates earning scholarships to prestigious global universities, while painting a vision of their future role in society.

“I see a bold generation rising, one ready to question the status quo, reimagine the future, and confront injustices. Your brilliance must drive innovation, experiment with new ideas, and help build the kinder world we so desperately need,” Margaret Kenyatta said.

Build a better world

“You have learned to leverage your talents, not just for personal success, but to build a better world by contributing your gifts and brilliant minds to the world,” she remarked.

“Go forth and shine. Wherever life takes you, let your light transform the world.”

She pointed to the students’ environmental initiatives at the Oloolua Forest and community service projects as evidence of their readiness to tackle global challenges.

Changemakers

The ceremony, attended by delighted parents, faculty, and distinguished guests, marked a milestone for the 140 graduates, who now join an alumni network of leaders and changemakers.
