Wambugu Ngunjiri dismisses video showing Ruto’s grand entry to Nyeri Town
Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has dismissed thousands of boda boda riders who escorted Deputy President William Ruto to a rally in Nyeri town centre.
Ngunjiri said the riders formed huge part of DP’s rally and most of them rode with him from Mathira and Mukurweini.
“These riders were from Mathira (1,000), Mukurweini (500) & Othaya (500). They then turned into the crowd that Ruto addressed on a street inside Nyeri town,” he said on Facebook.
He added: “If you check carefully you will note how the crowd is made up of people primarily in UDA (United Democratic Alliance) reflector jackets.”
Ngunjiri, however, thanked the DP for spending three days in the county and spurred local economy.
“I do take this opportunity, on behalf of the Nyeri Town community, to appreciate the DP and his team for the money that has circulated around Nyeri over the last three days. Tunashukuru,” he said.
