Deputy Prsident Kithure Kindiki has welcomed President William Ruto’s and former Prime Mininister Raila Odinga’s pact.

Speaking at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Friday, March 7, 2025, where the two leaders signed a joint government agreement to work together to deliver on the campaign promises to citizens, Kindiki lauded the decision noting that Kenya’s future looks great courtesy of the pact.

“I am a proud Kenyan to see what is happening here today because as other speakers have said, courageous decisions are made by courageous people, easy and flimsy decisions are made by weak people; therefore our coming here to witness this decision is a testament that the future of Kenya looks great courtesy of the decision that the two of you have made, the two of you have the largest political infrastructure in our country by far,” he said.

Kindiki expressed optimism about Kenya’s future and termed the leaders’ decision as a courageous move that will eventually steer the country towards the right direction.

He equally lauded Ruto and Raila for putting away their political differences and not using their political muscles to flex on their powers on one another but finding ways to progress the country towards development.

“Between the two of you, you have the where withhold politically speaking of the entire country, if you were individualistic and selfish you would have chosen to exercise your muscles against one another on opposite sides of politics; in the process you may have succeeded in underguarding one another but in the process you would have succeeded a great in undermining the speed, efficiency and development in this country, so thank you for making brave decisions because not everyone can make those kind of decisions, many people even claiming to be leaders are weak so they make weak and selfish decisions that only serve their interests as opposed to society as a whole,” he added.
