Judge summons IG Kanja, DCI chief Amin over 3 missing Kenyans
Milimani High Court Judge Alexander Muteti has ordered the Inspector General of Police (IG) Douglas Kanja and the Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Mohamed Amin to appear before him on Monday, July 20, 2026.
The new orders come after Kanja and Amin did not show up in court on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, as he had ordered earlier for them to explain to court where three missing Kenyan’s are.
Lawyer Paul Nyamodi, representing IG Kanja and DCI boss Amin, informed the court that his clients could not appear before him in person because the orders for them to appear before him came very late and they had a security meeting scheduled for today.
“My lord, my clients are not present in court in person because they are in a meeting planning for the upcoming security meeting; thus, they could not come,” lawyer Nyamodi told the court.
