MP’s have been called rent-seekers in the wake of investigating various scams in which taxpayers have lost cash.

A vocal second-term MP from Bungoma has taken the rent-seeking description in stride, shocking colleagues.

The MP recently started defending a prominent politician whom he previously viciously attacked.

What changed? Colleagues asked, only to learn the politician has been paying the mheshimiwa’s monthly rent of Sh75, 000 for his two bed-roomed apartment in Nairobi’s Kilimani area.
