Interior Chief Administrative Secretary Hussein Dado has declared his intention to unseat Tana River county Governor Dhadho Godhana in the 2022 General Election.

It was the first time Dado appeared in public since he suffered injuries in a freak accident six months ago.

Dado said he is still unable to walk properly but assured residents that he would be back in action by mid-next month.

Dado also criticised the current regime for failing to utilise the Sh8 billion allocated to the county by the national government.

“This is where I began my development. I tarmacked roads, installed street lights, built a hospital and freshwater, yet during my tenure the county was getting Sh3 billion. Where is the Sh8 billion allocated today?” he posed.

He said out of the Ksh3 billion, his administration would spend only Sh1 billion on salaries and expenditure and channel the rest towards development programmes.

At the same time, Dado urged residents to urged residents the youth not to allow politicians to use them to cause violence.
