The Football Kenya Federation Premier League continues this weekend with round 16 matches lined up across the country, marking a crucial phase of the 2025/2026 season as teams push for points in the second half of the campaign with new signings expected to debut.

Round 16 action

Action kicks off on Friday, January 9, 2026, with two matches scheduled in Nairobi. KCB FC will take on defending champions Kenya Police FC at Kasarani Stadium in a 3:00 pm kickoff.

Later in the day, the 2009 champions, Sofapaka FC, face Bidco United FC at Kasarani Annex from 4:00 pm, with the match set to be televised.

The league continues on Saturday, January 10, 2026, featuring three encounters. The 2008 winners, Mathare United FC host Murang’a SEAL FC at Police Sacco Stadium, Nairobi, in a 3:00 pm televised fixture.

Debutants APS Bomet FC will clash with Mara Sugar FC at Green Stadium in Kericho, while Bandari FC welcome Kakamega Homeboyz FC at KPA Sports Club in Mbaraki, both matches also kicking off at 3:00 pm.

Sunday fixtures

Sunday, January 11, 2026, will see four matches wrap up the round. Posta Rangers FC meet struggling Kariobangi Sharks FC at Kasarani Annex from 2:00 pm. Shabana FC host record champions Gor Mahia FC at Gusii Stadium in Kisii, with the highly anticipated fixture set for live television coverage at 2:00 pm.

Ulinzi Stars FC will face Nairobi United FC at the Ulinzi Sports Complex at 3:00 pm. It is expected to be an exciting fixture since Nairobi United have added depth to their squad with new signings, including Mustafa Kizza, Roy Okal and John Njuguna. Naibois will also be seeking to stretch their winning streak after stunning title contenders Shabana FC at their Gusii Stadium backyard in their previous league assignments.

On the same day, former champions Tusker FC take on AFC Leopards SC in another cracker at Nyayo Stadium in a televised 4:00 pm showdown. Both sides will strive to maintain their top positions in the standings.

With several high-profile clashes and regional rivalries on the card, round 16 promises exciting football as clubs battle for league positioning.
