FKF-PL Golden Glove: Police, Leopards custodians lead as second leg kicks off
The race for the 2026 Football Kenya Federation Golden Glove is set to take centre stage as the league action resumes this Saturday, January 24, 2026, across the country.
Following the conclusion of the first-leg ties, AFC Leopards goalie Humphreys Katasi is among the keepers who have emerged as front-runners for the best custodian award.
Leading trio
Katasi is on eight clean sheets and is joined at the top of the pile by Police FC youngster Job Ochieng and Mathare United’s Kevin Ouru, who hit the mark following the slum boys’ 1-0 win over Ulinzi Stars.

Gor Mahia and Harambee Stars custodian Bryne Omondi and Issa Emuria of Bidco United wrap up the top six with seven shutouts apiece.

Meanwhile, the FKF PL action is set to resume this weekend with the second leg action continuing the competitive action at both ends of the table.
The week 18 action will see Bandari make a trip to Nairobi to face Kariobangi Sharks.
The weekend’s opener will pit APS Bomet at home against Shabana FC at Kericho Stadium. Sammy Omollo’s side will be eyeing a return to winning ways after their last-minute heartbreak at the hands of Leopards in their last fixture.
The clash will see the Dockers hoping to capitalise on the Sharks’ poor run and extend their own turnaround that has seen them on a five-game unbeaten streak.
The side will be hoping to climb from tenth to sixth with a win as they clash against Police FC and Shabana and lie in wait.
Title chasing: Gor Mahia and Leopards in action
Second-placed AFC Leopards will take their quest for the league title to Sofapaka on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
The clash at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, will kick off at 4.00 pm.
Gor Mahia, who lead the pack after 17 games, will also hit the road to face a familiar test on Saturday evening when they take on Bidco United at Kasarani Stadium.
Charles Akonnor’s charges will be out to avenge the defeat suffered in their opening fixture of the league through a late 88th-minute penalty.
In other clashes, KCB welcomes Tusker FC at Kasarani Annex on Sunday, as Ulinzi Stars hosts Murang’a Seals.
