MP pledges to grade road for Yesu wa Tongaren

Tongaren MP John Chikati has said he will open up the road leading to the home of Eliud Wekesa, aka, Yesu wa Tongaren.
Chikati said Wekesa needs a good road for people to access his home for prayers. The MP said Wekesa will be having visitors from all over the world and that his Lukhokhwe home should be accessible.
“Yesu wa Tongaren is now known all over the world and we expect many visitors coming to see him so we will be grading the road to his home,”said Chikati.
Wekesa (pictured) was last week arrested and released for lack of evidence.
The new Jerusalem church owner had been arraigned in court and judged for operating a church without a license.
Chikati blamed the police for arresting the preacher, saying he had done nothing wrong.
“As an MP I will assist him in all ways because his teachings are not against the law,”he said.
But Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has maintained that Wekesa should stop joking with “the word of God”.
“When he was arrested he failed to perform miracles so that he could walk out of Bungoma cells,” he said.
