Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced that the Jubilee Party will field candidates in all elective positions in the upcoming 2027 elections.

In a bold declaration made during the Party’s Special National Delegates Conference on Friday, September 26, 2025, the party leader stated that the former ruling party is keenly preparing for the upcoming elections.

“Like any other political party, we shall be preparing for the next general elections and doing so in earnest, and it remains our firm intention to field the best possible candidates for all elective positions,” he stated.

In achieving the goal, Uhuru hinted at collaborating with other like-minded political outfits in the country.

“We shall either do this on our own or with the consent of like-minded political components,” he added.

Happy Day for Jubilee

The remarks come after Uhuru also spoke on the leadership wrangles that befell the party’s leadership following the end of his presidency as Kenya’s fourth president.

He termed the legal battle that later reinstated the party leadership to the rightful people as a momentous development.

“Today is a happy day for me and for the entire Jubilee fraternity. For a long time, we have been taken round in circles by people with devious machinations, but we have overcome all that through the will of God,” he stated.

The former president further signaled a fresh start for the party.

“I want to thank all those loyal party members and the many lawyers and Kenyans of goodwill who have ensured that once again, we are able to meet and restart our journey forward, Asanteni sana,” he stated..

The People’s decision

“Politics is about many things, but it is first and foremost about the collective will of the people through the ballot box. So it is my hope from today that we shall see the end of machinations and a start of democratic process since it is the people who will decide the direction the party takes, and not a few individuals,” he stated.
