Shabana issue matchday guidelines ahead of Gor Mahia clash at Gusii Stadium
Shabana FC has released matchday arrangements ahead of its highly anticipated fixture against Gor Mahia on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Gusii Stadium.
In an update released on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, the club has outlined specific stadium entry points for fans to ensure smooth access, safety, and effective crowd control on the day of the match.
Stadium entry points
According to the update, Gor Mahia supporters will access the stadium through Gate A and Gate I, both located in the Nyanchwa–Getacho area.
On the other hand, Shabana FC fans have been directed to use Gates B, C, and D, which will exclusively serve the home supporters.

For fans holding VIP and VVIP tickets, entry will be through the Kisii Primary School Gate, providing a designated and controlled access point for premium ticket holders.
Security and crowd management at all gates will be overseen by the General Service Unit (GSU). The club has urged all supporters to cooperate with security personnel, observe the provided guidelines, and maintain law and order throughout the matchday experience.
With excitement building ahead of the encounter, Shabana FC has emphasised that adherence to the entry arrangements will help guarantee a safe, orderly, and enjoyable atmosphere as the two giants face off at Gusii Stadium.
Shabana protests
After protesting against the match being staged at Kasarani Stadium over fears of fans’ safety, Shabana FC confirmed the fixture’s venue for the matchday clash through its media page on Monday, January 5, 2025.
FKF’s decision to hold the match at Kasarani was ostensibly informed by the altercations that marred the same encounter in May 2025, where the stadium was turned into a field of confrontation as fans clashed during the clash that ended with Gor Mahia claiming a narrow 1-0 victory.

It also follows just over a month after another of Gor’s last league encounters against Nairobi United also ended in disarray. The tie staged at Dandora Stadium turned chaotic after fans collided midway in the tie that ended prematurely with the scores tied at a level pegging of the one-all scoreline.
Ahead of the match, Shabana will be seeking to bounce back to their winning ways against K’Ogalo before the home fans after suffering a 3-1 humiliation by Nairobi United in their previous league assignments.
