Ruto’s support for the families of victims of plane crash
President Ruto announced a financial support package for the families of four aides and staff who died alongside the MP in the helicopter crash. Each of the four families will receive Ksh2 million, bringing the total assistance to Ksh8 million to help them meet immediate needs.
Beyond the financial support, the President also offered targeted help to ensure the families have long-term stability. He directed the Head of Public Service to facilitate employment at the Ministry of Agriculture for the widow of Wycliffe Rono, a protocol officer who left behind a young family.
Ruto further revealed that the teaching appointment letter that had been issued to Robert Carlos Keter, who died before earning his first salary, will now be transferred to his sister, who is also a trained teacher.
In addition, the President pledged to personally sponsor the university education of Amos Rotich’s son and promised to help resolve the housing difficulties facing the family of cameraman Nicholas Koskei.
