Kenya Power has announced a planned power maintenance exercise that will affect parts of Nairobi on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

The company said the interruption is part of ongoing efforts to improve electricity supply reliability and carry out essential network upgrades.

“Good evening. Please note that the following areas are scheduled for planned power maintenance tomorrow, 4th November 2025,” a statement from the utility company read.

According to the notice, scheduled maintenance will be undertaken in the Nairobi region and will affect parts of the South B estate of Riverbank.

Nairobi region

The interruptions will start from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm across the prescribed areas.

Other areas listed for maintenance include Total Petrol Station, parts of Golden Gate, and the adjacent customers.

The update follows a similar one of planned maintenance released on Sunday, November 2, 2025, that listed several locations along and around Arwings Kodhek Road for maintenance.

In the notice part of Arwings Kodhek, Ralph Bunche Road, Nelson Awour Centre, Nairobi Hospital, Landmark Plaza, Lee Funeral Home, Upper Hill Medical Hospital, University of Nairobi Dental School, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Ngong Avenues were all listed among areas to be affected by the maintenance.

The Chancery Building, Bishops Road, Sarova Panafric Hotel, Fairview Hotel, and surrounding premises were also included.

Upper Hill and Kilimani

Additionally, businesses, hospitals, schools, hotels and offices in Upper Hill and Kilimani are likely to be among those affected.

The utility firm stated that the outage run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Kenya Power urged customers in the listed areas to make prior arrangements and to treat all electrical appliances as live during the maintenance hours.

According to the utility firm, such planned power supply interruptions are necessary to enable maintenance work, upgrades of power lines and, in some cases, the extension of the network or connection of new customers.
