President William Ruto has urged Kenyans of goodwill to stand up and support the newly elected leaders in the just-concluded by-elections.

Speaking on Sunday, November 30, 2025, during a church service at AIC Milimani, Ruto said all leaders, including himself, come from God.

He also reminded Kenyans that national progress depends on unity, prayer and collective commitment.

Ruto issues clarion call to Kenyans

Ruto congratulated all winners from the latest mini polls and asked citizens to rally behind them regardless of political party.

“I want to congratulate all of them from all political parties and formations. No leader is elected by default or by chance, it is God who determines leadership,” he said.

The president noted that Kenyans must now help the newly elected officeholders succeed in delivering development.

He added that the country is navigating what he described as tough but surmountable challenges and called on the public to continue praying for the leadership.

Ruto’s remarks come just two days after his broader Kenya Kwanza team swept multiple seats across the country.

From Mbeere North to Kasipul, Banisa, Malava, Magarini and even the Baringo Senatorial seat, the ruling alliance recorded decisive wins, leaving the opposition wounded.

The victories have been touted by his allies as proof that the government enjoys national confidence.

During his sermon address, the President said he believes Kenya is firmly on the right path.

“I have great confidence in the future of Kenya. I have seen what God can do. Three years ago we were struggling with the economy, health, education but God has healed our economy,” he said.

The president also highlighted the recent launch of a one hundred seventy-five kilometre road project, which he described as a key milestone that will unlock new opportunities.

“When I was launching the one hundred seventy five kilometre road that will unlock the potential of half our country, I was very proud that God is opening spaces for Kenya,” he added.

Ruto concluded by urging leaders from all sides to embrace unity, saying that Kenya’s transformation will require shared purpose and unwavering focus.
