Justin Muturi: On 27th, Mbeere North will choose courage over fear
Justin Muturi, the former Cabinet Secretary for Public Service and an Attorney General who now doubles as the Democratic Party Leader, has spoken after a charged political tour in Embu County.
Through his verified and official X handle on Sunday, November 16, 2025, Muturi rooted for Newton Karish, saying the locals will get a chance to elect courage over fear in the coming Mbeere North by-election.

Muturi’s message to Mbeere North locals
“Today, the United Opposition toured every corner of Mbeere North, and the reception was overwhelming,” Justin Muturi’s post on X reads.
Muturi said the residents of Mbeere North have finally found their voice. He wrote that the community is now brave and ready to make a clear decision at the ballot.
According to him, threats, money, and pressure no longer work.
“The intimidation has failed, the bribery has flopped, and the threats have only hardened the resolve of our people. Mbeere North is awake,” Muturi posted on X.

Muturi also said he has never seen the constituency this united before. He called it a rare moment where the people are ready to take control of their future.
He added that the by-election on the 27th is more than just choosing a member of parliament.
“This election is not just about choosing an MP; it is about rejecting manipulation and restoring honest leadership,” Muturi wrote on X.
Muturi endorses Newton Karish
Muturi used the message to strongly back Newton Karish.
“That is why I stand firmly with Hon. Newton Karish, our party’s candidate and the true voice of the people,” praising him as the leader who will defend rights and bring back integrity.

Muturi ended his post with confidence, saying the voters are ready for change. He stated, “Karish is the choice. The people are ready. The change is unstoppable.”
With the by-election now days away, political temperatures in Mbeere North continue to rise as both sides brace for a decisive battle.
