Gachagua hosts Nakuru MCAs at his Wamunyoro home
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, hosted members of the Nakuru county assembly at his Wamunyoro home in Mathira, Nyeri county.
Taking to his social media accounts, the former deputy president revealed that their discussion centred around matters pertinent to the people in what is yet another of his recent charm offensives.
Gachagua further praised the MCAs, stating they best represent the ordinary people and have invaluable insights into the needs of Kenyans.
“Today, at my Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri, I held a consultative engagement with the elected MCAs of the great county of Nakuru. They appraised me on the socioeconomic matters of the county but more importantly on what Wanjiku is keen on being given priority,” Gachagua stated.
“The Members of the County Assembly are the elected leaders who spend most of their time with the electorate at their grassroots level; therefore, their voice is a true reflection of what the common wananchi stands for.”
Leaders present included Jayne Kihara (Naivasha MP), Simon Kamau (Kihingo Ward), Elija Mwaura (Biashara), Wajeff Wilson Mwangi (Menengai), Elijah Murage ( Waseges), George Nene (Elementaita), Philip Wanjohi (Lare), Stanley Karanja (Naivasha East), Michael Gathanwa ( Eburru Mbaruk), Mwangi Ngarama ( Lanet Umoja), Paul Waweru Warege ( Kiamaina), Isabella Makori (Subukia), Leah Ng’ang’a ( Kabatini), Mwangi Muraya (Viwandani), P.M Njoroge (Murindat), Mbugua Alex (Lake View), John Mwangi (Turi), Eliud K. Chege (Maai Mahiu), Francis Kuria K5 (Malewa West), Cyrus D. Ndegwa (Mau Narok), James Mwangi (Dundori), Njuguna Mwaura (Elburgon), David Muraya (Flamingo Ward) and Joseph Ngware (Molo).
Gachagua, who on Monday, January 20, 2025, had a similar meeting with leaders from Maa community pledged to continue such meetings as he eyes the best political path for the country.
“I will continue engaging leaders from the grassroots to the national level to bring together a comprehensive report on the economic situation of the country and the way forward,” he added.
