Inclusive National Justice, Economic & Civic Transformation (INJECT) party leader David Morara Kebaso has gone on a rant over a political project tag that he says a section of Kenyans have branded him with.

In a video message shared via his official X account on the night of Saturday, May 24, 2025, Morara said that going forward, Kenyans should be asking for evidence from anyone who claims that he is someone’s project for the 2027 general elections.

Morara goes ahead to say that anyone who claims that he is a project without evidence deserves to be slapped properly.

He further called out Kenyans for believing in every lie that has been told on the internet about him.

Kuanzia leo, mtu akikuambia Morara is a project, muitishe evidence. Muambie akupee ushahidi na kama hana, do me a favour, slap that bastard for me and take a picture. Kwa sababu hii ujinga imezidi. You can’t be believing every lie that is told on the internet kama mjinga tu, ni kama hauna akili yako….arent you supposed to be asking such kinds of questions?” Morara said.

Morara on critics

Moreover, Morara called out a section of Kenyans that have been calling him a con on the internet, claiming that those loud about the issue are the kind of people that have never even contributed anything for him.

According to him, Kenyans have been brushing off his civic education, and when they repeat the same mistakes on the ballot in 2027, they will still cry about leaders being corrupt.

He also warned that people should be careful not to vote out President William Ruto because of his incompetence only for them to replace him with another incompetent leader and cry later.

According to Morara, there is no difference between the corrupt government and the corrupt opposition.

Yaani, the reason you are voting Ruto out is because he is a thief, but the one you are voting in is another thief to replace that thief, alafu utaanza kutuambia the roads are very bad, the hospitals are very bad, and I am jobless,” he ranted.

Morara in opposition

A section of Kenyans started branding Morara as a political project after he met former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka-led opposition outfit.

After several days of facing backlash online, Morara disassociated himself from the opposition team, citing concerns over tribal-driven politics and the inclusion of leaders with questionable records on corruption as his primary reasons for leaving the coalition.

Morara also cited the inclusion of former government officials in the alliance, arguing that their past involvement in corruption undermines the credibility of the opposition.
