Pamela Adhiambo was crowned the best player as Kenya Pipeline advanced to the finals of the ongoing Kenya Cup with a win over the Directorate of Criminal Investigations volleyball team this Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Nairobi.

The 2023 KVF Most Valuable Player (MVP), who recently announced signing for a Croatian volleyball club, HAOK Mladost, earned the match plaudits as the reigning Kenya National Volleyball League champions extended their recent dominance in court against the fast-rising sleuths.

In what was a repeat of the KVF playoff final in May, Geoffrey Omondi’s side survived an early scare to edge the sleuths 26-24 in the opening set.

Dominant Oilers

The second set was convincingly won by the Oilers on a commanding 25-25 scoreline before they wrapped up the tie with a 26-24 win in the third set.

The success not only secured Oilers’ place in the inaugural Kenya Cup finals but also cemented their status among the leading women’s volleyball clubs in the country.

Pipeline will now face Kenya Commercial Bank in the finals slated for Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.

Bankers earned their spot in the 2025 Kenya Cup finals after edging rivals Kenya Prisons 3-2 in a semifinal clash staged earlier in the day.

Prisons started off the tie in a remarkable fashion, going for the jugular early on to claim the first two sets on a 25-18 and 25-23 scoreline.

Bankers fight back

Josp Barasa’s team was, however, pegged back after a startled Bankers team responded in the third set with an easy 25-18.

The team extended the victory to the fourth set on a 25-22 win to tie the game at 2-2 at the conclusion of the fourth set and set up a decisive fifth.

A spirited display in the decisive set saw Bankers complete the conquest, romping to a 15-4 win to seal the game.

Action now shifts to Sunday finals, where KCB and Pipeline will clash, with both the Ksh300,000 prize money and bragging rights at stake.
