Bianca Andreescu has revealed that she received a message from Drake after winning the US Open.

Andreescu defeated Serena Williams in the final last weekend, with rapper Drake amongst those to message her.

The 19-year-old Canadian received messages from some famous faces after her victory, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and NBA player Steve Nash.

However, she didn’t initially receive a message from Drake, and, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, said: “Drizzy. Champagne Papi, I’m waiting for you.”

Drake eventually messaged Andreescu, with the tennis star providing the details of the message while speaking at a press conference.

Drake’s message read: “Here I am. Congrats. We are all so proud of you. I’ve been liking every post with you in it lol I’d thought you’d see.”

Andreescu said: “I didn’t. I was barely on social media. I was just posting things. But, yeah, that is cool. That is – I don’t even know what to reply to that. It’s gonna take me a while.”

She added: “He has seen the message. Don’t worry I’m gonna answer.”

Andreescu defeated Serena Williams 6-3, 7-5 to win her first Grand Slam title. -Dailymail
