Tusker FC rebuild continues with raid at KCB for Francis Oduor
Tusker FC has confirmed the acquisition of Francis Oduor as the club continues its rebuilding for the 2025/26 season.
The defender joins the Brewers from rivals Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) after agreeing to a year-long contract with the Charles Okere-coached side.
“Tusker FC has continued to bolster its squad for the 2025/26 season with the arrival of experienced defender Francis Oduor, whose last work station was with KCB FC,” a statement from the Brewers read.
One-year
“Oduor has penned a year-long deal at Ruaraka that will take him through the end of the 2025-26 season,” the club added.
Oduor’s arrival lifts the club’s acquisition to seven players after six other players were confirmed by the team.
Among those unveiled for the next campaign are defender Eugene Ikutwa, who joined from Bidco United, and Vincent Otieno, who linked up with the club after ending his stay at City Stars following the team’s relegation from the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League.

On the offensive front, the team enlisted the services of winger Yakeen Muteheli from Ulinzi Stars, while Eric Kapaito returned to the Ruaraka-based club after a stint abroad with Namungo in Tanzania.
Speaking on the new arrival, Coach Okere, who had glimpses of the defender during the team’s training session, extolled the defensive acumen of the towering center back.
Eager to get started
“Francis is a solid defender with great awareness and discipline. His presence will boost our defensive options and bring experience to the dressing room. We are happy to have him on board.”
On his part, Oduor shared his eagerness to get going with the former KPL champions. He particularly promised to give his all while donning the yellow and black of the Brewers
“Tusker FC is one of the most successful and respected clubs in the country. I’m proud to be here and eager to give my best for the badge and the fans. I’m ready to get started and contribute wherever the team needs me. I want to make my own contribution to the team’s success and give my best whenever called upon,” he told the club’s portal.
The foregoing comes as former Tusker midfielder Rodgers Ouma’s exit from former FKF PL champions Gor Mahia came through.
News of Ouma’s departure was broken by the 21-time League champions, ending a two-year association between the club and the player.
“Midfielder Rodgers Ouma will be departing the club on mutual agreement. We extend our sincere thanks to Rodgers for his contributions during his time with us and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” Gor revealed in a statement.
