Shabana FC dominate FKF PL Team of the Week
Shabana FC showcased a remarkable performance in the recent FKF Premier League matches, securing a comprehensive victory over Posta Rangers with a commanding 3-0 win at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay.
This impressive display earned three of their players a well-deserved spot in the Dream Team of the week.

Led by coach Sammy Pamzo Omollo, Shabana FC dominated the game from the onset. Lloyd Khavuchi opened the scoring in the 20th minute, swiftly followed by Mathew Tegisi’s goal just before halftime.
Tore Bobe sealed the victory with a third goal early in the second half, displaying Shabana’s relentless attacking prowess.
The outstanding performance didn’t go unnoticed, as goalkeeper Fredrick Otinda, right back Dimpol Omamo, and left winger Mathew Tegisi were all named in the team of the week.
Despite their remarkable win, Shabana FC find themselves struggling in the relegation zone, emphasizing the importance of maintaining such stellar form to secure their survival in the league.
Meanwhile, other standout players from different teams also earned their spots in the Dream Team. Ulinzi Stars’ Glen Wafula and Kakamega Homeboyz’s Brian Eshihanda form the central defensive partnership, while Stephen Bulugu from Muhoroni Youth was selected as the right back.
The midfield trio comprised of Bidco United’s Said Tsuma, Murang’a Seal’s Eric Balecho, and Kariobangi Sharks’ Julius Masaba, showcasing their exceptional contributions to their respective teams.

Joining Tegisi in the attacking lineup were Kenya Police’s Tito Okello and Sharks’ striker John Makwata, highlighting their impact in the final third.
However, powerhouses AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia failed to produce any players in the Dream Team, with Gor Mahia settling for a goalless draw against Kakamega Homeboyz.
AFC Leopards, on the other hand, shared points with Sofapaka after a 1-1 draw, with both teams maintaining their positions in the league standings.
In another fixture, KCB and Bidco United played out a goalless draw at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, with both teams sharing the spoils in a tightly contested encounter.
