Over 100 golfers headed to Eldoret for DTB tourney
Over 100 golfers from all over the country are headed to Eldoret Sports Club, one of the oldest courses in the region, for a competitive tournament.
The event is the final leg of Diamond Trust Bank’s (DTB) Bank With Us golf series.
The bank has held 4 legs of the series in Kakamega, Mombasa, Kericho and Kisumu, bringing together more than 400 golfers from across Kenya.
This is the first golf tournament to be held by the bank aiming to grow the sport in the country, boost businesses by bringing bank services closer to their customers and offering networking opportunities.
DTB Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nassim Devji said: “We have had a great series with the tournaments and we are once again happy to headline this last leg in Eldoret.
“Golf is a great opportunity to meet our customers and we look forward to the networking that takes place on and off the course.”
Devji said the golf series is part of the bank’s strategy to offer more for its customers, which on the business side has been implemented through the expansion of its branch network.
The bank’s Head of Sales Kennedy Nyakomitta added: “We have had successful tournaments across different counties throughout the year and we hope our final leg will enable us to reach more customers.”
In the last leg held in Kisumu’s Nyanza Golf Club, Andrian Monari from Kisii won after carding an excellent score of 40 stableford points to clinch the much-competitive leg title.
