The club has extended an invitation to all fans to participate in the fundraising, which is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.

In an official statement, the club expressed gratitude to the fans and urged them to join the initiative.

“Dear Fans, We hope this message finds you well. We kindly invite you to join us on 1/12/2023 starting from 10 am at Bungoma Members club to a fundraising event in support of Nzoia Sugar FC,” the club said.

Earlier in the month, the club’s loyal supporters initiated a commendable effort to address the financial challenges at Sudi Stadium, where Nzoia Sugar FC plays its home matches.

The fans, led by chairman David Manasi, launched a campaign to collect funds, encouraging a monthly minimum contribution of Sh100.

These funds aim to support various aspects of the club, including travel expenses, players’ allowances, and other logistical needs.

Nzoia Sugar FC impacted

Nzoia Sugar company has faced financial difficulties in recent years, impacting the team’s performance at Sudi Stadium.

Players have experienced delays in receiving salaries and allowances due to financial constraints within the Nzoia Sugar company.

In an exclusive interview with People Sport early this month, David Manasi, the chairman of the club’s fans, discussed the challenges affecting Nzoia Sugar FC’s performance in the ongoing FKF Premier League season, which is eight matches in.

“The club is posting poor results because of major financial issues. These players are sacrificing a lot to show up for premier league fixtures.” he said.
