In a thrilling encounter at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Al Duhail displayed resurgence as they secured a 3-1 triumph over Al Sadd, marking a return to their winning form.

Despite enduring a challenging season that saw him sidelined with injury, Olunga’s goal tally now stands at an impressive 13 goals in just 15 appearances for the club.

The match witnessed a dominant display from Al Duhail right from the start, with the team seizing control of the midfield and launching relentless attacks on Al Sadd’s defensive lines.
Although a penalty opportunity arose in the 14th minute, El Meaz failed to convert it into a goal, leaving the spectators on edge.
However, Al Duhail’s persistence paid off in the 40th minute when a swift counterattack led to Ismail Mohamed crossing the ball into Al Sadd’s penalty area, allowing El Meaz to unleash a powerful shot and secure the opening goal of the match.
The first half concluded with a sense of urgency as Akram Afif equalized for Al Sadd just before halftime, setting the stage for an intense second half.

With both teams fiercely competing to gain the upper hand, it was Al Duhail who broke the deadlock in the 57th minute, courtesy of a brilliant finish by Michael Olunga following a swift counterattack.
The momentum continued in Al Duhail’s favor as Sultan Al-Bareek extended their lead with a superb left-footed strike in the 62nd minute, further solidifying their position.
Despite Al Sadd’s valiant efforts to stage a comeback, Al Duhail’s resolute defense, led by goalkeeper Shehab Al Laithi, thwarted any potential threats, ensuring that their lead remained intact until the final whistle.
