KSSSA: Amisi terms St Joseph’s Boys triumph as inspiration
Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has joined a burgeoning number of legislators congratulating St. Joseph’s Boys High School following their crowning as the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) national champions.
Taking to his X page on Saturday, August 2, 2025, Amisi hailed the reigning Rift Valley champions, who hail from the larger Trans Nzoia county, for upsetting rivals Musingu High School 1-0 in the final staged at the Mumias Complex.
The legislator further termed the win as one that will go a long way in inspiring other young sportspersons eyeing to make a name in the country’s sporting scene.
“St. Joseph’s Boys Kitale are the 2025 National Secondary Schools Football Champions after edging out Musingu High 1-0 in the finals. Congratulations to our boys for this historic win. You have lifted the flag of Saboti and Trans Nzoia high, showcasing talent, discipline, and resilience. This victory will inspire many young talents across the nation. Bravo, Champions!

His plaudits come after Kiminini MP Kakai Bisau also sent his congratulatory message to the all-conquering JOBO, who clinched their maiden national title with the victory.
In his congratulatory message, the lawmaker said the victory was a deserved reward of the team’s sheer determination.
Outstanding victory
“I take this moment to heartily congratulate St. Joseph’s Boys High School, Kitale, for their outstanding victory in the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) soccer finals,” the ardent football fan and patron of the Kiminini Combined FC said.
“With grit, discipline, and unmatched determination, our boys triumphed with a well-earned 1-0 victory over the formidable Musingu Scorpions, bringing the national soccer title home. This historic achievement is not only a reflection of the school’s strong sporting culture but also a testament to the power of teamwork, dedication, and focused mentorship,” he stated.
The lawmaker further thanked the JOBO fraternity for achieving the feat, which further showcased the region’s might as a centre of nurturing sports talents.
As a county, we stand tall and proud. St Joseph’s has once again demonstrated that Trans Nzoia is not only the food basket of Kenya but also a hub of exceptional talent and sporting excellence. To the players, technical team, school administration, and the entire St Joseph’s fraternity, your hard work and sacrifices have borne sweet fruit. Hongera sana, Champions!”
