The Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) men’s Division Two unbeaten side and league leaders JKUAT are in action this weekend, seeking their 19th straight victory when they welcome Renegades at Nyayo National Stadium Basketball Court today from 2pm.

The fixture is one of the five scintillating match-ups lined up across the country this weekend as JKUAT seeks to win their remaining two matches of the season to complete the 2021 KBF men’s Division Two League undefeated.

As JKUAT seeks to end the season with a flourish, league debutants Kisii Raptors’ quest of sealing a playoff slot will come under tough scrutiny this weekend as they host two league matches at Kisii University.

Raptors are scheduled to host Neosasa and Mab today and tomorrow in what’s do-or-die crucial fixtures for them and must win both matches to increase their chances of making it to the league’s post-season playoffs and fancy their chances of making history by earning promotion to the second-tier league, KBF men’s Division One, next season.

“We are getting closer to achieving our goal which is to play in the playoffs and proceed to KBF Men’s Division I in our debut season. It’s possible and it’s achievable.

So, we’re treating the remaining matches as finals and we want to get as many wins as possible, if not winning all of them to put us in a good place for the playoffs,” Kisii Raptors coach Hillary Simba told People Sport.

Elsewhere, Kakamega-based side Nebulas have two crucial matches as well. Playing at their backyard, at the Kakamega Police Canteen (KPC), Nebulas are scheduled to face off with Neosasa from 9 am today and Nakuru Basketball Club, same time tomorrow at the same venue.

In the only match programmed for the KBF women’s second-tier, KBF women’s Division One League, Coastal Queens are hosting Western Delight at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA)’s Makande Hall, Mombasa.
