Gor Mahia FC has been drawn against lower league opponents as AFC Leopards paired fellow league rivals in the FKF Cup Round of 32 draw unveiled on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

The draw comes a day after the completion of the round of 64 ties where most KPL sides claimed safe passage with easy victories.

In the draw, Gor will face off against Nairobi opponents Githurai All-Stars (GAS).

Division Two

GAS, as they are popularly known, are two-time champions of the Sakaja Super Cup and riding high in the Division Two FKF league.

The winner from the round will face either Bandari or Al Azizia in the round of 16.

Other KPL sides will fancy their chances, with the draw pitting them against lower-tier sides, with the exception of the Leopards.

Fred Ambani’s team is the only side to have been placed against their top-tier rivals, and a date against Mara Sugar is up in the cards.

Ingwe recently beat the side 2-1 away in Awendo Stadium and the Awendo-based KPL newbies will be relishing their chances not only for revenge but also a Cup upset against the 2017 winners.

Homeboyz vs Samitsi

2023 champions Kakamega Homeboyz, who needed a penalty-shoot-out win against TBM Services in Moi Stadium Kisumu will have a date against Samitsi FC, a fellow Western-based side with a massive following across Kakamega and the entire western region.

Meanwhile, Tusker FC will have a tough task against high-riding National Super League side, Nairobi United. The Brewers claimed a narrow 2-1 win over Gucha Youth to advance to the next stages.

Defending champions  Kenya Police will have to contend with the threat of Michael Olunga Foundation FC (MOFA) in their quest for title defence.

MOFA is owned by Kenyan international Michael Olunga and plies their trade in the second tier of the national Super League.

Ulinzi Stars will be up against the Kirinyaga side, Jumbo TFC, who eliminated Desert Scorpion 3-2 in the round of 64 in Dandora stadium.
