CAF CC: Nairobi United make appeal for fans’ support ahead of crunch campaign
Kenya’s CAF inter-club competitions representatives, Nairobi United, have made a passionate appeal for support as the club looks to a historic run in the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Naibos recently secured passage to the coveted group stages of the competitions and now bid to embark on a journey to conquer the continent.
Speaking on Saturday, November 8, 2025, coach Nicholas Muyoti implored for increased support as they seek to make history in their debut appearance on the continental stage.
Support
“We ask for those who are yet to find a team to rally behind us and support us. We are Kenyan representatives on the continent, and we expect to get the support. We welcome all those who have no team to support us as we head out to represent the country,” he stated.
On his CAF CC travails, Muyoti acknowledged that the elevated stage comes with its own unique challenge for the team.
“The continental stage has presented us with a welcome challenge. We are seeking to reach certain levels and also show that we deserve the status with our performance in the league too,” he added.

Muyoti’s charges extended their fine show, climbing to third on the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League log after Saturday’s November 8, 2025, 4-2 win over Kariobangi Sharks.
The appeals come days after the FKF PL debutants learned of their Confederation Cup group opponents following a draw conducted by CAF.
In the draw, the Kenyan club was pooled in Group B alongside continental giants Wydad AC (Morocco), AS Maniema Union (DR Congo), and Azam FC (Tanzania).
Fixtures
According to the schedule released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday, October 4, 2025, the competition’s debutants will kick off their campaign on Sunday, November 23, 2025, with a tough away clash against Wydad AC in Casablanca. The Moroccans, who boast vast continental experience, will provide an early test for the Kenyan side in what promises to be an electrifying opener.
The Nicholas Muyoti-coached team will then return home a week later, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, to host AS Maniema Union at the Nyayo National Stadium. Naibois will be looking to capitalise on home advantage and secure vital points before heading into the mid-season break.
After a short recess, the Kenyan club resumes action on January 25, 2026, with another home fixture against Azam FC from Tanzania, a regional rivalry that is expected to draw a large crowd. The return leg follows shortly on February 1, 2026, when Nairobi United travel to Dar es Salaam for what could be a decisive tie in their quest for qualification.
