Rwandan midfielder vows to play for the badge after completing Nairobi United move
Nairobi United’s newest acquisition, Hakizimana Muhadjiri, has opened up on signing for the Football Kenya Federation Premier League newbies, Nairobi United, after agreeing to a midseason transfer deal.
In an interview on Thursday, January 8, 2026, the left-sided attacker pledged to give his all for his new club in his debut season in the Kenyan Premier League.
“I am ready to get going for this club. I will leave everything on the pitch for the team,” he said in his first interview as per the club.
Short-term deal
The former Police and Enticelles wingman was confirmed among the Naibois midseason entrants on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, with the club hailing his attacking repertoire.
He also boasts international stints in the United Arab Emirates with Emirates Club and Al Kholood in Saudi Arabia.
“We are thrilled to announce the signing of Rwandan international playmaker, Muhadjiri Hakizimana. A master of vision, a creator of goals, and a man who knows exactly how to unlock the tightest defenses. Muhadjiri brings a wealth of international experience to our midfield,” Naibois’ welcoming statement read.
Speaking to a local portal following his signing, Allan Tumu, the player’s agent, described the 31-year-old as an exciting addition to the FKF Premier League.
“He is in the mould of Neymar; he creates many chances and scores as well. He can play as a number ten or out wide, and he is a player Nairobi United and Kenyan football fans will enjoy watching because he is exciting.
Overall, he is a great addition to the league, and players of his calibre make the competition more entertaining,” said Tumu, as quoted by Mozzart Sports.
Muhadjiri’s arrival comes as the club angles for an FKF Premier League clash away to Ulinzi Stars at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.

He joins Mustafa Kizza and the former KPL duo of Roy Okal and John Njuguna among the latest arrivals at the KPL newbies.
The Naibois will face the Soldiers for the kickoff at 3:00 pm, eyeing to bounce back from their recent defeat to AFC Leopards
