KNEC March 2026 business and technical exam results: How institutions can lodge queries
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) released the March 2026 Business and Technical examination results and issued guidelines on how institutions can lodge queries.
According to a statement by KNEC on Monday, July 13, 2026, Heads of institutions can collect the results from New Mitihani House in South C, Nairobi, on weekdays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
“KNEC wishes to inform all Heads of Institutions that the March 2026 Business and Technical examination results are officially released,” the council stated.
“Results are ready for collection at New Mitihani House, South C Offices on weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.”
KNEC has directed institutions to clear all outstanding examination fees before collecting the results.
“Please ensure all examination fee arrears are cleared prior to collection,” the council said.
How institutions can lodge result queries
KNEC said queries concerning the results must be submitted online by heads of institutions within 30 days.

Candidates who identify errors or have concerns about their results should contact their respective institutions. The institution will then lodge the query through KNEC’s Query Management Information System.
The portal allows users to submit examination-related queries, attach relevant documents and track their progress.
Heads of institutions can follow these steps:
- Visit the KNEC Query Management Information System portal.
- Sign in using the institution’s registered email address and password. Institutions without an account can use the registration option, while users who have forgotten their passwords can reset them through the portal.
- Select the relevant query category.
- Enter the candidate’s examination details, including the index number, examination, year and series where required.
- Confirm the candidate’s details generated by the system.
- Attach the supporting documents requested for the selected query.
- Review the information and submit the query.
KNEC’s user manual states that the system enables users to raise queries, attach documents and follow their progress online.

Queries submitted after the deadline cost Ksh5,000
“Result queries must be submitted online by Heads of Institutions within 30 days,” KNEC stated.
The council warned that queries received after August 9, 2026, will attract a fee of Ksh5,000.
Institutions should therefore collect the results, verify candidates’ details and submit any concerns before the deadline.
The statement does not provide a direct query process for individual candidates. Candidates should first raise their concerns with the heads of their respective institutions.
