A trio of former Gor Mahia players is set to start for AFC Leopards in the highly anticipated Mashemeji Derby at Moi International Stadium at 4:00 p.m.

Lewis Opiyo will be in goal, facing his former team Gor Mahia, and he will have the support of Bakari Randi, Vincent Mahiga, Kayce Odhiambo, and Emmanuel Lwangu in the defence.

AFC Leopards mid/attack

In midfield, Moses Oundo will partner with Kweyu Munyendo. The attacking lineup includes former Gor Mahia wingers Cliff Nyakeya, who also captains the side, and Clifton Miheso. Victor Otieno and Brian Yakhama will lead the hunt for goals.

On the other side, Gor Mahia FC has named Kevin Omondi in goal, with Rooney Onyango and Geoffrey Ochieng as the fullbacks. Kenned Onyango and Emery Bayisenge will form the central defence partnership.

In the central midfield, Kevin Simiyu and Lawrence Ochieng will team up, while Rodgers Musiga, Austin Odhiambo, and Patrick Sibomana will play in the attacking roles, supporting FKF Premier League’s leading scorer, Benson Omala.

As the match approaches, Gor Mahia, the defending champions, currently sit in second place in the standings with nine points, comprising two wins and three draws. They have drawn their last two matches and will be eager to return to winning ways.

AFC Leopards form

AFC Leopards, on the other hand, has had a challenging start to the season, remaining winless with four draws and one defeat. They have accumulated four points and currently occupy the 16th position on the league table.
