Kariobangi Sharks’s woes in the 2019/2020 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) continued after they fell 3-1 to Tusker at Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani Friiday.

Surprisingly, it was Sharks who surged ahead in the 40th minute, Kevinton Machika taking advantage of a goalmouth mix-up to slam the ball at the back of the net.

But Tusker had other ideas as they combed Sharks defence with George ‘’Blackberry’’Odhiambo and two goal hero Luke Namanda ensuring the team maximum points.

Elsewhere at Mbaraki Sports ground, Bandari beat Wazito 2-1 in a match that saw both teams score own goals.

Shaban Kenga gave Bandari the lead in the 27th minute before his teammate Siraj Mohammed turned the ball in his own net for Wazito’s equaliser.

Bandari offensive

Later on, Wazito defender Dan Owino, in a desperate bid to clear a Bandari offensive, scored in his net as the dockers ran off with maximum points.

Meanwhile, last week, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) hogged the sports headlines when they crushed pre-match favourites Sharks 5-2.

The score-line by the bankers, who are placed fourth in the league chart, should make Posta Rangers have every reason to be afraid as the two teams collide in a potentially exciting match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos Sunday.

Since being appointed KCB coach, Zedekiah ‘’Zico’ Otieno has inculcated predatory goal-scoring instincts on the team’s strikers which has been a nightmare to opponents defence lines.

And even without dazzling striker Reagan Otieno, who is away with national team Harambee Stars in the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup which kicks off today in Uganda, KCB have the firepower in form of Enock Agwanda, Simon Munala and Samuel Mwangi.
