‘Sack disloyal employees’ – Wajackoyah urges Kakamega Governor Barasa
Roots party supremo George Wajackoyh has called on Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa to reshuffle his cabinet.
While addressing a crowd on Saturday, July 29, 2023, the former presidential aspirant claimed that a section of the members of Barasa’s cabinet were disloyal and had shifted their allegiance to the governor’s arch-rival.
He also claimed that the members that needed to be eliminated after the end of ther contract and replaced by faithful members. Barasa is yet to respond to Wajackoyah’s claims.
“Those ministers disloyal to Barasa, (they) pretend to be on Barasa’s side during the day and at night are on the other, we are quite aware of you, I recommend that you sack them after the 2-year contract, and employ people who are faithful towards your course,” he stated.
Adding: “Those who are honest should remain, if I am President you must be loyal to me, if you are not loyal to my government I will sack you. I don’t want betrayers,”
Barasa’s cabinet
Barasa’s cabinet was unveiled on Wednesday, November 9, 2023, in a function held at the county headquarters.
The governor stated that the cabinet would assist his administration in progressing his development agenda for the Kakamega people.
“Kakamega County Governor H.E. FCPA Fernandes Barasa has today, Wednesday 9th November 2022, nominated for appointment officers that will assist him in steering his development agenda for the people of Kakamega County to ensure effective and efficient service delivery,” a statement by the county read in parts.
