Emuhaya MP Milemba urges residents to support Kenya Kwanza govt for continued development projects
Emuhaya Member of Parliament Omboko Milemba has urged Vihiga residents to support the Kenya Kwanza administration, saying continued cooperation with the national government will help the constituency attract more development projects and public services.
Speaking on Friday, June 26, 2026, during the Emuhaya Boda Boda and Youth Groups Forum held at Emusire High School, Milemba said the constituency had benefited from several government-funded projects under President William Ruto’s administration and called on residents to sustain their support.

“Support the government of President William Ruto so that Emuhaya can continue benefiting from development and services,” Milemba said. “When we work with the government, resources flow to our people.”
Flagship projects
The MP pointed to several flagship projects across the constituency.
In education and skills training, he cited the ongoing expansion of Ebukanga Technical Training Institute, Ebunangwe TTI, and Bunyore Teachers Training College.
On trade infrastructure, Milemba said modern markets are under construction in Luanda, Esibuye, and Esirulo to give traders better and safer spaces to do business.
He also listed the tarmacking of key roads in the constituency as part of efforts to open up the area and reduce transport costs for farmers and traders.

“Our young people, especially those in the boda boda sector and youth groups, will benefit most from these markets and improved roads. We are also investing in skills so they can get jobs after training,” he added.
The event brought together several leaders who rallied residents behind the government’s development agenda.
Faruk Kibet assured residents that President Ruto remains committed to delivering on promises made to Vihiga residents. Woman Rep Adagala urged women and youth groups to apply for government funds and training programs to grow their businesses
The forum was largely attended by boda boda operators and youth groups, who received financial support to boost their work.
Milemba said his office will continue working with such groups to ensure they access the Hustler Fund, Uwezo Fund, and other empowerment programmes.
He closed by calling for unity and patience as the government rolls out more projects. “Let us support the government, and development will speak for itself in Emuhaya,” he said.
