Emuhaya MP Omboko Milemba has appealed to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki to intervene and have more police officers posted in the constituency to help fight cases of insecurity that are on the rise.

Milemba said Emuhaya sub-county is facing a serious security crisis where criminals have taken advantage of the few police officers in the area to terrorize innocent residents.

The MP said that using funds from the National Government-Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), he has constructed four police pots in the area but they remain un-operational because they lack police officers.

Milemba while addressing Emuhaya residents yesterday when he commissioned the construction of a Chief’s office and a police post in West Bunyore ward said the police camps will start operating the moment police officers are posted.

“I’m appealing to interior CS Kithure Kindiki to move with speed and post more police officers in Emuhaya that is facing a serious security crisis. Through NG-CDF, I have constructed four police posts in the area which require police officers to start operating,” he said.

The MP asked residents to reveal suspects behind the insecurity in the area to police officers and other security agents.

“I have been told we have criminals who are vandalizing security lights erected on our roads so that they can attack residents under the cover of darkness.  I want our chiefs and police officers to deal with such criminals decisively without fear,” he urged.
