ODM leader  Raila Odinga on Wednesday night checked into Nairobi hospital for medical review.

Raila’s elder brother, Dr Oburu Oginga, told People Daily that the Orange partly leader visited the hospital for a scheduled check-up with his doctors as he recovers from Covid-19.

“Raila is doing well. It was just a normal check-up. He is back home,” said Dr Oburu, a member of the East Africa Legislative Assembly.

Another source within Raila’s circles corroborated Dr Oburu’s statement, saying the Opposition chief was at the hospital for a scheduled appointment with his doctors.

“It was a scheduled appointment with his doctors. He was attended to and allowed to go home and continue with the self-isolation regime,” said the source who requested anonymity.

The visit came only three days after the former Premier was discharged from the hospital where he had been admitted after testing positive for Covid-19.

Raila posted a video clip on Sunday morning working out at his Karen residence in which he announced that he was feeling wonderful to be back home after days of medication at the hospital.

“It is  wonderful. It is so nice to be back home. It was like a prison back there. I like to be in the fresh air and see nature. I’ll be strictly self-isolating until further notice,” he said.
