Police nab 4 in Kikuyu operation and seize 1,100 rolls of bhang
Four persons of interest have been arrested in Kikuyu, Kiambu County, after police carried out an intelligence-driven operation targeting drug peddlers in the Makutano area.
In an official statement released by the National Police Service on X on Sunday, November 30, 2025, the National Police Service said the operation resulted in the arrest of four men who will be processed and taken to court on Monday, December 1, 2025.
“Officers from Kikuyu Police Station have conducted an intelligence-led operation in the Makutano area, leading to the arrest of four suspected drug peddlers. The suspects will be processed and arraigned in court,” the statement reads.

Police also recovered a significant quantity of marijuana during the Sunday, November 30 morning operation, which the police said is valued at KSh 210,000.
“The operation also led to the recovery of 1,107 rolls and 6 kg of bhang, with an estimated street value of Ksh 210,000,” the statement reads.

The NPS thanked members of the public for sharing information that made the operation possible, saying community cooperation is vital in helping authorities dismantle narcotics and illicit brews networks within their areas.
“The National Police Service commends the public for providing crucial information and the officers for their vigilance and commitment to the fight against narcotic drugs and illicit brews within their jurisdictions,” the statement reads.

The Police service further reassured Kenyans that the fight against narcotics and illicit brews remains a priority, especially in areas where the youth are increasingly exposed to harmful substances.
“The NPS remains steadfast in its commitment to serving and protecting the public,” the statement reads.
The Sunday, November 30, 2025, early-morning raid, conducted by officers from Kikuyu Police Station, is part of an ongoing crackdown by the National Police Service on narcotics and illicit brews across the region.
The four persons of interest are expected to be arraigned once investigations and processing are complete.
