Persons of interest in custody

The three male persons of interest were immediately taken into custody at the nearest police station within Kuresoi North Sub-County, Nakuru County.

They remain in detention pending processing and arraignment in court. Investigations are ongoing to establish the source of the seized drugs, their intended destination, and whether they are connected to a larger trafficking network operating in the region.

“The arrests were made after the trio was intercepted in the Kwa Manga area of Nyota Sub-Location. They are currently in custody, pending processing and arraignment in court.”

Authorities noted that rural and peri-urban areas have increasingly become transit routes for narcotics moving from production zones to urban markets, prompting heightened intelligence-led patrols and roadblocks.

Public urged to support anti-drug efforts

The National Police Service emphasised its commitment to combating the circulation of illegal drugs and safeguarding public welfare.

“The National Police Service remains committed to combating the circulation of illegal drugs and safeguarding public welfare.”

Members of the public are encouraged to support these initiatives by reporting suspicious activities,” the NPS said. Citizens with information on drug trafficking or related crimes are urged to contact the police via toll-free lines 999, 112, or 911, or visit the nearest station.

The arrest in Nyota adds to a series of successful anti-narcotics interventions recorded in November 2025, demonstrating heightened vigilance by law enforcement agencies.

Recovered exhibits will undergo forensic examination before presentation as evidence in court. The National Police Service reiterated that the war against drugs requires collective responsibility and cooperation between security organs and the public to achieve lasting results.
