MP Ndakwa vows to serve all Malava residents equally after being sworn in
Malava Member of Parliament (MP) David Ndakwa has pledged to serve every resident of the constituency, regardless of whether they voted for him.
Speaking on Sunday, December 7, 2025, during a church service, Ndakwa assured his constituents that every person in Malava will benefit from his leadership during his tenure as MP.
He emphasised that voting is a democratic right, and his service will not be influenced by who supported him during the elections.
“Yule alinipigia kura na yule hakunipigia kura; wote nitawahudumia kwa sababu wako Malava, wanalipa ushuru kama wengine. Kura ni siri na kura ni demokrasia. Nitawafanyia kazi bila mapendeleo yoyote na kuhakikisha kwamba Malava inasonga mbele,” he said.
Ndakwa also pledged to build on the work of his late predecessor, Malulu Injendi, promising to continue the projects that had already been initiated in the constituency.
This comes days after being sworn in as Malava MP after winning in the mini polls, which saw him score 21554 votes, defeating Seth Panyako, who garnered 20224 votes.

President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet, who helped him in traversing the Malava constituency to popularise his bid, also urged him not to be biased in his service delivery.
Speaking on Friday, November 28, 2025, Kibet emphasised that public service requires impartiality, highlighting that every resident of Malava, whether they supported Ndakwa or not, deserves fair treatment and attention.
He stressed that the focus should now shift from political divisions and celebrations of victory to gratitude and responsible governance, encouraging the MP to create an environment where every community member feels valued and represented.
“Do not be biased; lead everyone regardless of who voted for you. God planned that you were elected. Mtoto ambaye hakupata bursary na akavote Seth Panyako ni mtoto wa Malava. Leo si siku ya kutusi na kupiga kifua, leo ni siku ya kushukuru mungu. Ita watu wote wakuje,” he said.
Vouching for Seth Panyako
Ndakwa has already begun establishing himself as a unifying figure; he recently came out to plead with President William Ruto to consider his worthy opponent who came second in the minipoll to be considered for a post in government.

“Nataka kuambia Ruto kuna mwenzangu ambaye tulipambana naye, anaitwa Seth Panyako. Mimi nakuambia umkumbuke umpatie kazi, aishi kama wengine,” Ndakwa said.
