Millie Odhiambo calls for investigations into all sudden deaths after journalist Festus Amimo’s death
Suba North Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo has called for an inquiry into all sudden deaths following the demise of veteran journalist Festus Amimo.
In a statement shared on her social media pages on Sunday, December 7, 2025, while mourning the veteran journalist and describing his passing as shocking, Millie aligned herself with Dr Akinyi Wenwa, the sister of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
During the funeral of their sister Beryl Odinga, Dr Wenwa had urged that every sudden death be investigated thoroughly.

Millie Odhiambo went a step further, raising questions on whether the increasing number of sudden deaths now becoming alarmingly frequent might have any link to the Covid-19 vaccine.
“The death of Festus Amimo is shocking. These sudden deaths must be investigated, as was suggested by Raila’s sister, Dr Akinyi Wenwa. Could they be linked to COVID jabs?”

Amimo, who was fondly known as Woud Awasi (the son of Awasi), was a ranking member within the KBC circles and a veteran who carried on his trade with a rare acumen.
Until his demise, he was the head of the KBC Dholuo radio station, Mayienga FM. He aired the morning show Gari Mokinyi after he rose to the role in 2022.
Before becoming the Dholuo head of the station, Amimo enjoyed a checkered career in the media, serving for over a decade as a radio producer with the national broadcaster.
His demise has seen an outpouring of emotions and tributes, with senior Luo politicians leading in the tributes to one of the pioneers of Luo dialect broadcasting.
Deputy Head of the Government Delivery Unit, Eliud Owalo, described Amimo as a dedicated worker.
