President Ruto’s development tour of Migori County

President William Ruto is expected to continue his three-day developmental tour of Migori County this Monday, May 5, 2025.

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, Ruto presided over an interdenominational church service at Kadika Primary School in Suna East.

The event was, however, marred by a disturbing scene after a dusty shoe was hurled towards him while making an address to the people of Kehancha Town.

The incident sparked mixed reactions on social media spaces, with political leaders also weighing in with different opinions.

Ong’ondo Were’s autopsy

The autopsy of slain MP Charles Ong’ondo Were is scheduled to be undertaken today, on Monday, May 5, 2025.

A team of government pathologists and independent doctors will conclusively reveal what caused the death of the Kasipul legislator following the fatal shooting on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Nairobi.

The autopsy procedure comes a day after the National Police Service (NPS) on Sunday, May 4, 2025, arrested four in connection with the fatal shooting of the MP.

The officers said the detainees were positively identified at the scene of the crime and included members of the organised criminal gang ‘Mjahidin‘, notorious for armed robberies in Nairobi’s Eastlands.
