“It is with deep sorrow that I have received news of the passing of the former Kirinyaga Senator, the Honourable Daniel Karaba. Only a fortnight ago, we were together as the #UkatibaCaravan passed through Kirinyaga County,” Maraga stated.
On his part, Maraga noted that they shared a vision of partnership and collaboration in the service of the country’s future, a conversation he now says carries a weight he did not anticipate.
“We spoke of a shared vision, of partnership and collaboration in service of this country’s future. That conversation now carries a weight I did not anticipate,” he recalled.
“To his family, friends and the people of Kirinyaga, I extend my most heartfelt condolences. May you find strength and comfort in one another during this profoundly difficult season. Rest in peace, Senator Karaba. The work continues,” Maraga added.
