Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka has said he is still consulting on which party to use in his bid for Bungoma governor race.

Lusaka who met Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula yesterday refuted claims that he had joined the Ford Kenya party from the ruling Jubilee.

“We just had a consultative meeting with the party leader. This is work in progress. I am still consulting parties and my county people,” said Lusaka.

The Speaker has left many of his supporters guessing on which party he will be using in the governor’s race.

While being interviewed on a local station last week, the Speaker said he will make public his political party early next month.

“Expect an earthquake in the county early next month when I will announce my next move,”he announced.

Although he has not come clear on his preferred party, there is speculation that Ford Kenya will be his party of choice.

Wetangula who has been campaigning for Lusaka even in absentia, has maintained that the Ford-K ticket is reserved for the Senate Speaker.
