Kenya Power lists areas to experience outage on Tuesday, 31

Kenya Power has announced a scheduled power interruption that will affect parts of five counties across the country on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

In a public notice on Monday, March 30, 2026, the utility said the planned outage will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in most of the listed areas, as part of routine maintenance aimed at improving service delivery.

“Please be advised that there will be a scheduled power interruption on Tuesday, 31.03.2026, Time: 9.00 A.M. – 5.00 P.M.,” the notice reads.

In Nairobi County, the outage will affect parts of Parklands. Kenya Power specified areas including “4th & 5th Parklands, Wangapala Rd, Masari Rd, Diamond 1 & 2, Sky Mall, Part of Kusi Lane, Presidential Escort, Highridge KPLC Quarters, Ismailia & adjacent customers.”

In Nakuru County, areas in Gilgil and Diatomite will also be affected. The company listed locations such as “Whole of Diatomite Ltd, Kasambara, Epashikino, Seville, Pelican, Kasarani, St. Mary’s, St. Joseph, Serena Hotel, Elementaita Mountain View, Sogono & adjacent customers.”

Meanwhile, in Kiambu County, the interruption will hit parts of Limuru Town. According to the notice, the affected areas include “Equity Bank Limuru, Silver Spoon Factory, Manguo Sec, Ngarariga, Nyambare, Murengeri & adjacent customers.”

Coast region

At the Coast, Mombasa County will also experience outages in parts of Likoni, specifically around Mrima Primary and Pungu Villa. Kenya Power noted that areas such as “Likoni Water, Approved, Tonge Nyama, Kwa Nziwe, Mwananguvuze, Ujamaa, Pungu Slaughter & adjacent customers” will be affected.

In the Mt. Kenya region, outages will affect parts of Meru, Nyeri, and Embu counties. In Meru, areas like Gitimbene and Kariene will go without power, including “Gatimbi, Cottolengo, Kaguma Ruiga Health Centre & adjacent customers.”

In Nyeri, interruptions will occur earlier, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, affecting areas such as Ark Lodge, Amboni, and Kariko. The notice mentions “Ark Lodge, Bondeni, Kiguru Pri, Kiandumbe, Kariko Mkt, Matirigongo & adjacent customers.”

In Embu County, areas in Mbeere and Mwea, including Machang’a, Iriamurai, and Makima, will also be affected. Kenya Power listed locations such as “Thiba Farm, Jagannathi Farm, Kanyonga… Ndunguni, Mavanyani, Ura, Mburatuni & adjacent customers.”

The company advised customers in the affected areas to plan accordingly during the outage period.
