Kenya Met lists areas set to receive rainfall in 7-day forecast
The Kenya Meteorological Department has listed several areas that are set to receive rainfall over a period of seven days.
According to the weather advisory issued on Monday, October 29, 2024, rainfall is expected over a few places from October 29, 2024, to November 4, 2024.
The weatherman has advised Kenyans to expect some rainfall over the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coast, and North Eastern Kenya.
However, the rest of the country will be mostly sunny and dry.
“Weather Outlook (29 Oct – 4 Nov 2024): Expect some rainfall over the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coast, and NE Kenya. The rest of the country will be mostly sunny and dry,” Kenya Met stated.

Sunny and dry areas
In the 7-day weather forecast, the Kenya Met has also listed several regions that will remain dry and sunny for the next week.
Among the regions are North Eastern, North Western, and South Eastern Lowlands.
According to the advisory, most parts of the country will experience mainly sunny and dry conditions.
“Sunny & Dry Areas: Regions including North-eastern, North-western, SE Lowlands, and much of the country will experience mainly sunny and dry conditions,” the advisory reads in part.
Daytime temperatures
The forecast has also captured the temperatures that will be experienced in different parts of the country.
The weatherman has listed three regions that will likely experience high daytime temperatures of over 30°C.
The areas include the Coast region, the North Eastern region, and North Western Kenya.
“Daytime heat alert: High daytime temps over 30°C expected in areas like the Coast, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya. Keep cool and stay hydrated!” Kenya Met advised.
Nighttime temperatures
The nights are expected to be cooler in some parts of the country.
According to the Kenya Met’s latest forecast, nighttime temperatures are expected to drop below 10°C.
The areas that will be affected by the cold temperatures are parts of the Central Highlands and Central Rift Valley.
“Cool Nights Ahead: Nighttime temps may drop below 10°C in parts of the Central Highlands and Central Rift Valley, so prepare for cooler nights,” the weatherman warned.
