Kenya has confirmed additional nine cases of COVID-19 after 704 people were tested, President Uhuru Kenyatta announced during his address to the nation on Thursday.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the country has now risen to 234.

A total of 53 patients have recovered while 10 have succumbed to the disease.
