Saboti Member of Caleb Amisi, has urged Kenyan citizens eligible to vote to come out in their numbers and register as voters as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) launches the countrywide continuous voter registration campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.

Talking to his X account on Monday, September 29, 2025, Amisi said registering as voters is the only way to deal with rogue governance.

”Today is the start of the Renaissance. If you are tired with politicians get out and register as a voter, to pay back the blood of Rex, get out and register, To avoid abductions of young people, get out and register, you are fed up with decades-long Mois political dinosaurs, get out and register, want to elect good leaders, get out and register, to develop a good universal health cover and kill the corrupted SHA, get out and register,” Amisi noted as IEBC kicked off the continuous voter registration exercise on Monday, September 29, 2025 nationwide.

The vocal legislator also added that for better education reforms amid the stalemate between the government and lecturers in regards to the collective bargaining agreement and ensuring better service delivery in other sectors, Kenyans have a duty to play at the ballot.

”To develop a good education system, infrastructure network, rule of law, social justice and promote employment of jobless youths, get out and register, to be able to vote for the best to lead as MCA, MP, Senator, Governor, Women Rep, get out and register. To actualise Wantam, get out and register. To avoid demonstrations and picketing, destruction of property after every election, get out and register. Otherwise, after the 2027 elections, forever hold your peace until Jesus comes back to take the righteous,” Amisi added.

Alutala defends IEBC’s data protection system

Meanwhile, Caleb Amisi’s call comes even as the IEBC Commissioner Alutalala Mukhwana has defended the commission’s data protection system ahead of the resumption of continuous voter registration on Monday, September 29, 2025, nationwide.

In a local TV interview on Monday morning, September 29, 2025, Alutalala said the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is accurate in data verification and recording of voters as it seeks to add new numbers into the voter register ahead of the 2027 general election.

”IEBC is data compliant…Everything is accurate because things are not being done manually. We are doing the launch to mark the onset of continuous voters’ registration on the ground next to Machuru Primary School,” Alutalala said.

His defence comes days after a TIFA survey revealed that many Kenyans have no faith in IEBC conducting a free and fair election.
