Wambugu vows to continue exposing Gachagua despite Uhuru’s warning
Former Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has vowed to continue going hard on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua despite warnings from Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms on Friday, November 7, 2025, Ngunjiri Wambugu, who, for the past few months, after falling out with the former deputy president, has never spared Rigathi Gachagua with every post he shares directed at his former friend, whom he once stood by during the impeachment saga, vowed to continue with his criticism.
Ngunjiri, while acknowledging the directive from the former Head of State warning party members against insulting other leaders, especially the former deputy president, said that he has taken note of the instruction but vowed to continue criticising him as he always has, though without insults.

According to him, at no point has he ever insulted Rigathi Gachagua; he has only used his platforms to expose the truth about the former DP without any form of disrespect.

“Bazuu amesema watu should not insult others. Especially if you are in Jubilee. Utatheca nja. That’s in order. On our part we will keep exposing Gachagua, without insults. As we have always done.” Wambugu said.
Uhuru’s warning to Jubilee
This came after an order from former President Uhuru Kenyatta during a meeting with Jubilee grassroots leaders in Murang’a at Thika Green Gardens on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Uhuru expressed his frustration over how some members within the Jubilee Party have been insulting other leaders, including former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, while pointing fingers at the party’s Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni to stop the trend. He stated that he is usually saddened to see such behaviour.
He further warned that before he hands over the party, should any specific leaders continue with the trend, he will call them out and expel them from the party.
Kioni’s criticism of Gachagua
This comes at a time when both Ngunjiri Wambugu and Jeremiah Kioni have been critical of the former Deputy President and his Democracy for Citizens (DCP) party.
Jeremiah Kioni has even gone to the extent of accusing Gachagua of being a mole for the current regime within the united opposition, saying that his DCP Party is an appendage of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party.
