Thika AIPCA Bishop urges Sifuna, Babu Owino to elevate Pauline Njoroge in political spotlight
The Bishop in charge of AIPCA Thika Central Diocese, Bishop Samuel Mburu, has publicly called on Linda Mwananchi movement leaders Edwin Sifuna and Babu Owino to ensure that Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary Pauline Njoroge is given greater visibility within the evolving opposition political formation.
Speaking during a service at the AIPCA Thika Church on Sunday, June 14, 2026, the cleric made an emotional appeal urging the leaders not to sideline or “hide” individuals who have remained loyal to the movement.
“Nataka kumuita msichana wetu hapa Pauline. Babu Owino, huyo msichana amenifuata sana kwa sababu ya hii. Bwana Sifuna, huyu msichana wetu wa hapa mlima, Pauline, ndio hii mambo ifike mahali tuko, amenifuata sana,” the bishop said.
He added that Pauline Njoroge had played a consistent role in supporting the movement and deserved recognition as the political group continues to expand its influence ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Bishop Mburu urged the opposition figures to ensure fairness in how political visibility and opportunities are distributed within their camp, insisting that all contributors deserve acknowledgement.
“Hata kama hajaniambia, mimi niko na ombi moja tu. Mkipanga maneno yenu, msimfiche. Wacha hata yeye aonekane. Hata nyota yake pia msaidie ing’ae,” he said.

The bishop further emphasised that Pauline had demonstrated loyalty and commitment to the movement and should not be left behind as political alignments take shape.
“Hata yeye nyota ipae kwa sababu amekuwa mwaminifu kwenu na amewatetea sana,” he added.
Church moment turns political
The remarks were made in the presence of several political leaders attending service ahead of the Linda Mwananchi rally in Thika, which has been attracting a growing number of opposition figures from across the country.
The rally, part of a wider political tour, has seen leaders use church and public platforms to mobilise support and outline their vision for the 2027 elections.

Growing visibility within Linda Mwananchi movement
Pauline Njoroge, a prominent political communicator and social media strategist and a Jubilee Party figure, has been associated with the Linda Mwananchi movement since its first rally in Kitengela.
Her visibility within the movement has grown as opposition leaders intensify efforts to build a coordinated political front ahead of the next election cycle.
The bishop’s appeal is likely to add further attention to internal discussions on leadership roles and representation within the opposition coalition.
The Linda Mwananchi movement has been holding rallies across different regions as political realignments continue to take shape.
Sunday’s Thika event highlighted both the growing momentum of the movement and the emerging debates over leadership visibility and inclusivity within its ranks.
