Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary and Nairobi 2027 gubernatorial hopeful Pauline Njoroge has joined the Senator Edwin Sifuna-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Linda Wananchi faction for a church service in Kajiado County.

The church service, at ACK St. Peter’s Orkeju Emanya on Sunday, February 15, 2026, marks the first event preceding their much-anticipated Linda Wananchi tour, which is set to be held in Kitengela town.

Speaking briefly at the church service, Pauline Njoroge vowed to join the leaders in defending the people despite threats and intimidation.

Watu wakiongea wanafurushwa kwa chama, hatutanyamaza maovu yakitendeka. This fight is on, and we know that God is also on our side because we are following the example of Jesus Christ in fighting for the people,” Pauline stated.

During the tour, Sifuna-allied politicians are expected to voice their outrage following Sifuna’s attempted removal from the Secretary General position.

Other leaders present include Siaya Governor James Orengo, Funyula MP Wilberforce Oundo, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi.

Other leaders expected to attend the service are Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka and Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi, among others.

Following Sifuna’s attempted ouster by the ODM National Executive Committee (NEC), the Linda Wananchi team came out in solidarity with him, lashing out at the Oburu Odinga-led faction over what they termed as an unfair dismissal.

Gachagua wooing Sifuna faction

Democracy for Citizens (DCP) party leader Rigathi Gachagua has also hinted at a possible merger between the United Opposition and the Sifuna-led faction. He stated that if they agree on a popular presidential candidate, all United Opposition principals would shelve their personal ambitions and rally behind what he termed as an “ODM B” candidate.

The Linda Wananchi team is opposed to the direction the party is taking ahead of 2027, particularly after ODM began structured talks with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Sifuna has unequivocally stated that should ODM enter into a merger with the ruling party, he will bolt out. On his part, Orengo has expressed dissatisfaction with what he says is the party’s lack of intention to field a presidential candidate, instead opting to support other parties.

He added that if the Orange party enters into a pact with UDA, it risks being reduced to a Luo regional party.

Pauline Njoroge’s Nairobi ambitions

Pauline Njoroge is also harbouring Nairobi gubernatorial ambitions and recently began her quest for the top county seat with rallies in Roysambu and Kasarani constituencies.
